This specification covers a silver alloy in the form of wire, rod, sheet, strip, foil, pig, powder, shot, and chips and a viscous mixture (paste) of powder in a suitable binder.
This material has been used typically for brazing corrosion-resistant honeycomb structures where service temperature will not exceed 900 degrees F (482 degrees C), but usage is not limited to such applications. Oxidation of the brazed alloy may occur during long-time exposure to such temperatures.
