This specification covers the engineering requirements for electrodeposition of titanium-cadmium on metal parts and the properties f the deposit.
This process has been used typically to provide corrosion resistance to high strength steel for use in fracture critical applictions such as aircraft landing gear and naval arrestor hooks at temperatures below 450 degrees F (232 degrees C) by limiting the generation of hydrogen and potential hydrogen embrittlement, but usage is not limited to such applications.
