This specification covers the engineering requirements for electrodeposition of a zinc-nickel alloy and the properties of the deposit.
This plating process has been used typically to prevent corrosion resistant to steel parts which may operate up to 500 degrees F (260 degrees C) (Type 1), or up to 250 degrees F (121 degrees C) (Type 2), or up to 350 degrees F ( 177 degrees C) (Type 3), but usage is not limited to such applications.
