The delivery of Telematic services via integration of communication technologies and in-car information systems has not been a profitable business proposition for a lot of players. Complexity of the overall Telematic service provision chain in which several players are struggling to make their business area profitable has led to complex technological and business models. The overall result has been a costly set of Telematic offerings that has not met with success in the marketplace.
