Composites being high in strength to weight ratio is preferred for automobiles. Hybrid Composites due to its fatigue resistance, low cost and reduction in notch sensitivity makes it eligible for application in automotive industry. Hybrid composites are used in automotive anti roll-bar, brake friction material and pistons and strut bars. Carbon epoxy being costly is reinforced with glass epoxy to achieve the desired effect of weight reduction along with saving the cost. In this paper stability analysis of hybrid composite plate with elliptical cut-out is studied. Comparison between different boundary conditions that is combination of simply supported and clamped for the considered rectangular plate is being done. The effects of orientation of cut-out, stack up sequence effect, angle ply, laminate thickness effect, width of plate, changes in aspect ratio of plate as well as cut-out is being studied. Comparisons of perforated and non-perforated conditions are studied and accordingly results are obtained. Keywords: Stability analysis, Hybrid composites, boundary conditions, elliptical cut-out
