- Progressive innovations enable businesses to stay ahead of competition while also increasing profits. These contributing dynamics have allowed the development of a number of advanced innovations, but no other paradigm has had a larger effect in recent decades than Industry 4.0. The unification of intelligent technological advances and manufacturing systems is promoted by Industry 4.0. Amongst which, additive Manufacturing(AM) plays a critical role in solving some of the 4th industrial revolution's key pressing concerns. Manufacturing was never more versatile, effective, or mechanized than in the Internet of Things(IOT) epoch. One can now develop ever-more complicated innovations which merge tangible items and data management. Automated machineries are capable of communicating with one another, exchanging and processing data, evaluating their operational situation in order to be self-adaptable and sometimes even making selections. All of which happens on its own with very little human intervention. As a result of its several advantages which includes time and cost - savings, rapid prototyping, superior performance, and decentralised manufacturing techniques, AM plays a pivotal influence in industry 4.0. Presently, Additive Manufacturing is being adopted by a growing range of manufacturing sectors. The IOT connects all operations inside the smart factory, leading to increased agility and autonomy of industrial operations. This research attempts to explore the impact of additive manufacturing in Industry 4.0 and how it can respond to various industrial constraints in the long term.
