- Being a Concerned about the environment impact and pollution free surrounding, it is need of the world to shift the focus on electric vehicle and Hybrid electric vehicle which is key technology. The presented article considers the model of propulsion system in the hybrid vehicle along with it, important domain of electric vehicle i. e Vehicle dynamics is also simulated. The model for the same is created in the Simulink. While simulating the model parameters like resistive forces which mainly includes rolling resistance, drag force, tractive force along with it regenerative braking, battery performance are studied for a specific drive cycle. In this work the main goal is to increase range of HEV by studying vehicle dynamics. . PID is used to follow drive cycle and the effect of resistive forces on vehicle are shown using graphs which are then studied and optimised to get maximum efficiency. Author tried to achieve vehicle range of 300km in one full charge. Finally, all the values calculated in various subsystems are then integrated in final vehicle model to study the output parameters.
