Li-ion battery cells used for EVs are charged and discharged at different C rate to fullfill the need of power. For different C rates different internal heat generation takes place. This paper will provide a prediction of total heat generated in cell from joule heat and reaction heat. Project have experimental method to measure joule heat by performing HPPC test at different C rates and at different cell surface temperature. To measure Entropic heat an experimental method is designed to test cell at different temperature.Calculation of entropic heat coefficient to be done from open cercuit voltage vs temperature graph. This project validate the results by performing simulation in ANSYS Fluent by using MSMD battery model. Matlab simuling model used to predict temperature at slecific time by providing C rates. Simulation of thermodynamic behaviour of battery pack module is done on calculated heat generation values. Thermal behaviour of module is used to apply a BTMS technique. Phase change material battery cooling systeam is used in this project. This project is starting from heat generation values and ends with the extraction of generated heat.
