All Mechanical Primary Flight Control System for VTOL/STOL Aircraft

This paper describes the development of a mechanism for the conversion of a human pilot's control stick or pedal displacement commands into differentiated output power commands or any desired sum or combination of the displacement command and successive differentiations. By this means the pilot's task of controlling a VTOL airplane during the VTOL phases of flight is reduced to where ordinary piloting technique is adequate.
