- This paper describes the integration of a helmet mounted display system into the multiple CRT “glass cockpit” being developed for the Air Force HH-60D terrain following, night combat rescue helicopter. For orientation, the location of units comprising the helmet display system is described first. Then, since the helmet mounted display formats are common with those presented on the four Multi-Purpose Displays, the attributes of the formats are detailed by portraying a brief flight as seen through a sequence of those formats.
