Feasibility of Forward - Swept Wing Technology For V/STOL Aircraft

The application of forward-swept wing technology to V/STOL aircraft was found to be feasible. In addition to the previously known benefits to the conventional-flight performance, the leading edge sweep forward-swept wing offers unique benefits to certain classes of V/STOL aircraft. For these classes of aircraft, it is possible to obtain synergism between advances in airframe and engine technology.
