DESIGN FEATURES OF THE CF6 ENGINE THRUST REVERSER AND SPOILER

Significant design features of the thrust reverser and spoiler of the CF6 engine (powerplant for the McDonnell Douglas DC-10) are described, along with the design impact of major requirements including maintainability and noise reduction.
