This paper provides the information on approach and the methodology used for testing and validation of complete lift axle assembly in Laboratory. Issues & limitations faced in real time reproduction of test track signals in laboratory and the reasons thereof are discussed. Evaluation of complete Lift axle system on vehicle is time taking and inclusive of lot of expenses and effort, as there might be failures in other aggregates. To develop the test procedure rigorous road load data need to be done at vehicle level. During this vehicle need to be driven various proving tracks that represents mixed service road conditions. Vehicle level data is recorded with help of commercially available sensors and data loggers at various locations of the subsystems. The vital role the "Accelerating testing" can play in cutting down the validation time and improving the product reliability is duly emphasized. The importance of correlation between 'accelerated test' and real time test' for authenticity test results from accelerated test is stated. Finally practical limitations of laboratory test and further scope of improvement is discussed.
