Air Cargo is one of the major Cargo transport industry globally. It is helping to transport goods swiftly across the globe during emergencies like pandemic, evacuation and natural calamities etc. It plays a key role in developing economy of country by importing and exporting goods across the globe. This business is growing every YOY with increase in demand for e-Commerce and globalisation. It is important to keep up the efficiency of the system as the business demand grows. This paper focus to understand how AI implementation can reduce the inefficiency and inconsistency due to the manual intervention in Cargo operation in different areas. The major implementation study area of AI in this paper include implementing in Cargo load planning to reduce the human dependency and error, implementation of AI in ground handling with the help of autopiloting vehicle which can operate in any weather condition, ordering sequence of loading priority of Unit Load Devices(ULD), operating control unit to move ULD in the Cargo deck, latching and unlatching ULD, fixing ULD's when it is stuck during operation and implementation of AI based predective mainitanence for the Cargo electrical and Mechanical components. This paper also gives an architecture to combine the above areas to give an efficient operation outcome. The required data collection for AI implementation for the ground handling and Cargo operation are carried out from the existing system. It also generates more data after the implementation which can be continuously fed to model for the improvement.
