Content
In today’s world EV plays an important role in reducing fuel consumption, pollution and global climate change. In EVs, Li-ion batteries are most preferred ones and their optimum operating temperature should be 15 °C to 30 °C, for that Battery Cooling System (BCS) is needed during charging and discharging for better performance in tropical regions. A flexible design methodology is required to evaluate and enhance the performance of BCS before the prototyping. This study mainly focused on 1-D thermal analysis and experimental validation of BCS. The simulation results and tests data shows good agreement within ±10% variation.
