Toyota and Microsoft announce partnership for new telematics services

At the annual Toyota Sustainability Seminar, held April 5-6 in La Jolla, CA, Toyota spokesman John Hanson spoke briefly on the just-announced agreement between Toyota and Microsoft to jointly build a global platform for Toyota's next-generation telematics services using the Windows Azure platform. The telematics services will be particularly useful to owners of advanced-technology vehicles such as the Prius plug-in that Hanson is standing beside.
