As rising fuel prices and looming environmental regulations bring fuel economy to the fore, hydraulic system developers are pitching in to improve efficiency and help conserve precious resources.
Electrohydraulics continue to be integrated into off-highway systems, even moving inside vehicle frames to save space and simplify deployment.
Integration is a continuing project as engineers deploy electronics that sometime make it possible to shrink mechanical components in much the same way that electronic technologies themselves get smaller.
