Ford Motor Co.'s newest commercial truck, the F-600 Super Duty chassis cab, slots between the Ford F-550 and F-650. The new nameplate, which hits a “sweet spot” in the market, according to Mike Pruitt, chief program engineer for Ford Super Duty trucks (F-250 through F-600), was revealed in Indianapolis at the NTEA Work Truck Show.

“The F-600 delivers the capability of a Class 6 truck with a maximum GVWR of 22,000 pounds in that familiar Class 5 Super Duty package, so fleet customers no longer have to choose between a truck that doesn't have enough payload or a truck that's too big,” Pruitt said in an interview with Truck & Off-Highway Engineering.
