Design and manufacturing teams now work closely together, but the complexity of today's aircraft makes it impossible for them to have a solid understanding of each other's operating environment. Each side is continually making changes from the start of the design process until the plane goes out of production.

Throughout this lengthy cycle, it is critical for everyone to know how their adjustments might impact others. And once they make changes, it is equally important that everyone throughout the design and production staff knows about changes that impact them.
