Industrial vehicles featuring composite rubber tracked drive systems have become increasingly popular over the past 10 years, carving out a respectable niche in many specialized industries.

Tracked vehicles provide a number of operational benefits over conventional tired vehicles, including high traction and enhanced turn-on-the-spot maneuverability even in ultra-soft ground conditions. Combined with low surface damage and ground compaction, these factors have greatly influenced many agricultural tractor manufacturers to introduce both single- and twin-track models into their range.

While clearly agricultural tractors are mainly designed for implement towing, far fewer manufacturers offer tracked machines specifically for bulk hauling and fewer still cater to capacities much over 10t (11 ton).
